Relationships with Land and People

I live and work at the foot of a sacred mountain, a being of kinship, that stands within the traditional homelands of Diné, Hopi, Havasupai, Hualapai, Apache, Yavapai, and Paiute Peoples, as well as several Pueblos. The mountain is known by many names, including Dook'o'oosłííd (Diné), Nuva'tukya'ovi (Hopi), Wiihaagynpacha (Havasupai).

As a ninth-generation settler, I value relationships with this land and her Peoples.

I am committed to disrupting settler colonialism by acting in solidarity with Indigenous sovereignty. With my time, skills, and resources, I seek to support Indigenous Peoples’ wellbeing and the vitality of this land.

With gratitude and respect for this land and her Peoples — past, present, and future:

Ahxéhee’ (Diné), Askwali (Hopi), Haangyo (Havasupai)
